Fujifilm Europe (2020 - 2022)
Schwarzbach Quartier, one of the largest building projects in Ratingen, Germany in recent years.
The first office complex, from an eventual six on the site, is least by Fujifilm Europe, becoming the new location for their European headquarters.
In early 2021 I was already a regular visitor to the site, taking arial images of the initial phases of the project. After making contact with Fujifilm in April of the same year, i was able to visit the construction site on a near weekly basis, to cover the progress of the project.
In May 2022, the building was officially handed over to Fujifilm, and was opened by Fujifilm management from Japan, and the Business Minister Mona Neubauer.

Der erste Gebäudekomplex wird die neue Europazentrale von Fujifilm Europe und Fujifilm Deutschland!
Im April 2021 habe ich in der Zeitung davon gelesen, dass Fujifilm in den ersten geplanten Gebäudekomplex als Verpächter einziehen wird. Zufällig bin ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt auf Fujifilm Kameras umgestiegen. Die Idee mit Fuji-Kit den Bau der Europazentrale fotografisch festzuhalten war somit schnell geboren und ich habe Kontakt zu Fujifilm aufgenommen. Fujifilm war begeistert und dann ging Alles ganz schnell: Seit Juni 2021 war ich regelmäßig auf dem Gelände und konnte somit fast den kompletten Bau bis zur Fertigstellung dokumentieren.
Und jetzt ist es soweit: Seit dem 02. Mai 2022 ist das Gebäude an der Balke-Dürr-Allee offizielle Europazentrale der Fujifilm-Familie!
