Operated by the Lichtburg Cinema (which by the way highest visitor capacity single-screen cinema in Germany), the open air cinema is set in the grounds of Essen Cathedral.

Read MoreWell, it’s taken me a while, and i do apologise, but here is the second instalment of photos from my recent drive through (and around) Europe!
After Dresden, the obvious choice was to make the relatively short 150km drive over the border to the Czech capital.
While it was totally worth the drive, it couldn’t quite live up to what i’d already experienced in Dresden! Nonetheless, a romantic city with breathtaking architecture.
Tip: The outlet shopping village just outside the city provided some serious cut-price retail therapy!
