In The Press - Apr-Juli '23

Ouch!! Well, I think this every time! It’s been too long, and I am obviously extremely forgetful/lazy (delete as appropriate) at this blog-lark!

The end of the football season was busy! There was also plenty of stuff appearing in the printed press - if I ever feel so inclined to dig out and photograph the clippings, i’ll do a post on that too!

So, please forgive me, and take a little browse at what (I think) i’ve been up to over the last months - according to google of course.

April and May is usually the time when the outdoor swimming pools open. Middle aged women topless, overweight men topless, and me using a drone as not to invade peoples privacy!

Local sports seasons came to and in May also, which meant I was out shooting all kinds of stuff for the local press:

One real big assignment that came my way in May was visiting a local airport for the arrival of a new Zeppelin NT airship , which will commence passenger services here from next year. The best thing; after the press conference, the schmoozing and some dutch courage, I took to the skies! I’ll drop a separate post about this, with lots more pictures! So, here’s just a teaser!

Oh! I bumped in to Dame Joan Collins…

My shot - top right!

So, this was also an interesting one - and another job at height! Camera Obscura! If you don’t know what that means - google it.

Mülheim’s Camera Obscura was in need of a service. And, sure enough, the lens was full of bugs and all kinds of other crud! Enter the cavalry from Carl Zeiss! Three engineers spent the day in Mülheim, dismantling the lens, cleaning it and reassembling!

This will also feature in a future post!

So, that’s enough for now! Before I forget i’ve just promised at least two further blogposts, i’ll sign off!

Here’s a few other clippings! Until Next time!!!
