In The Press - June '22

Hi! It’s a little late this month, but here is my four-weekly ego massage using the power of the Interweb!

There is a small caveat this month: I recently changed the language of my Google account to Pirate (i may try Klingon next), so i may have limited myself in the amount of ‘Engravins’ i could find!

First up! Andy is back and in Spain!! He’s not back from the dead though sadly.

Aunty Amanda has been in the news too! She’s not really my Auntie, but the late Robert Palmer was my uncle. No, i’ve made that up too!

Next up: Hannah Ried popped up, singing a duet with the whining depression causing Chris Martin. Maybe she’ll lend him some money so he can stop upcycling his clothes.

Now on to a selection of some regional stuff. Friends that have seen Afterlife on Netflix will enjoy this section the most!

We’ve got the usual selection of sport, but there’s also been a few other interesting stories i’ve covered.

The first image showing the block of flats which i took with a drone, was a particularly fun one! I arrived at the ‘Problem Towerblock’ to take some pictures and had to deal with a hostile bunch of local hoodlums, who clearly had nothing better to do at 11 in the morning except hang around in the car-park and annoy people. I left the scene, letting them think the’d got the better of me, only to walk around the corner and send the drone up! Ha!

Some clever fellas in Oberhausen have patented a clip-on loudspeaker for facemasks - just as we’ve all given up wearing them! Naaa, there’s still a good market in the medial industry, and in any country where bugs and scorpions are the preferred thing to eat with a glass of Château Neuev 1668.

The big story of the month was again in Oberhausen. A tram collided with a bus, injuring over 40 people, one seriously. Thankfully, nobody lost their lives, which when you look at the wreckage is a small miracle.

Thanks for stopping by!

Next month: I had to suffer an evening of what the Germans call ‘Schlager’. Hit youtube and check some Schlager out, you may love it! You most likely won’t, but who knows.

Until next time!
